Greenbrier Community College Center was once the Lewisburg Women's College. After being refurbished, it is now bustling again, with education as its trust.

Lewisburg is the county seat of Greenbrier County WV.

Set in the Allegheny Mountains, the city of Lewisburg is rich in beauty and history.

Lewisburg WV was incorporated in 1782 by an act of the Virginia General Assembly. The city still features many of the 18th and 19th century buildings of years gone by. Antebellum homes grace the main thoroughfares, with a number of them appearing in a part of the 236-acre area that has been designated by the National Register as a Historic District.

Lewisburg Art and Theatre Center
A building donated by Milton Carnegie and located in downtown Lewisburg. After being restored, it is now used as a center for art and theater.

Within minutes of downtown Lewisburg, sprawling farms grace the landscape and create beauty for miles around. The Greenbrier River, and all the pleasures that come with outdoor recreation, draws many to the area. But for those that like pampering and a lovely getaway, The Greenbrier Hotel is just minutes away.

Traveling to and from Lewisburg WV is simple, because interstate highways can help you reach your destination from all directions. Rail service is provided by Amtrak, and the city is also home to the Greenbrier Valley Airport, which has a 7,000 ft. runway and a FAA supported tower.

Old Stone Presbyterian Church
The Old Stone Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest churches in Lewisburg and is very much a part of the Valley's daily life.

Lewisburg is conveniently surrounded by a number of popular destinations. Just to name a few: Charleston, WV is 1 1/2 hours away, while Richmond, VA is 3 hours away, and both Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, NC are 4 hours away.
